Does a fused fiber repair degrade the original quality of the fiber?
WHY THIS VIDEO HAS SO MUCH JOY IN IT IT IS JUST EXPLAINING PON MOST JOYFULL THING I EVER WATCHED
Thank you for the informative explanation on fiber optic cables. If you have large-scale fiber cable procurement needs, feel free to reach out to us.
Why are we not seeing more people moving from Copper to Pon - especially at a time we want to think about the climate impact. My understanding is hardware is smaller, and does not need cooling, so these are excellent benefits for a small business who does not have the space for a traditional comms rooms
Great overview of PON video! Fibconet is your go-to expert for PON products and solutions. Feel free to reach out to us if you need anything.😉
I've never seen one of those mobile signal boosters, where do they sell them?
Hi Hektor - We supply and install a system called Cel-Fi. There are a few different brands but not all conform the local laws of boosting, hence why we only use Cel-Fi as its a trusted brand
Can I ask please when you terminate this cable at the patch panel end do you only wrap one foil on the jacket or all? Thanks
Hi There - The patch panel works the same as the modules. The foil is wrapped and the panel has an earthing point to connect to this foil
@@NmcablingCoUk thank you!
My 2 work computers i use at home came with. A short 6a....walmartbhas a longer cat6...will it still be good
Permanant links have a standard all the way up to 90m. However Patch leads are stranded cable to be more fexible so dont have such a distance as a standard, Maybe 10-20% less depending on the cable - Therefore in a home setting the patch lead will be fine for the same speeds. Cat6 can achieve 10 Gigabit up to 55m so again should be fine for home usage.
Amazing
Thankyou
Can you explain how much of a difference in speed and performance I can expect between Cat6 and Cat7 in a typical home network setup?
In a typical home network setup, you might not notice a significant difference in speed between Cat6 and Cat7, especially if you’re using standard internet speeds. Cat6 supports speeds up to 10 Gbps over short distances (up to 55 meters), while Cat7 can also reach up to 10 Gbps but over longer distances (up to 100 meters) with better shielding against interference. If you’re planning for future-proofing or using advanced networking equipment, Cat7 may be worth considering, but for most home users, Cat6 is usually sufficient.

Great video! Can you explain if there’s a noticeable performance difference between Cat6 and Cat7 for home use, or is Cat8 overkill for most setups?"
For most home setups, Cat6 is more than sufficient, offering speeds up to 10 Gbps over shorter distances. Cat7 provides better shielding and slightly higher speeds, but the difference in performance is usually not noticeable for typical home use. Cat8 is overkill unless you’re running a high-performance network
Hmm way different interface than my workplace sonos.
Thanks! I needed it for a ppt in school...it helped me a lot ❤

If I'm somewhere where there's no cellular phone operator range, but I have access to the Internet, and a phone that uses Voip, can I still just use my REGULAR phone number, and make a phone call still using my REGULAR phone number, and the person I'm calling to will not even realize any difference, because they see my regular phone number on theirs screen? Don't you dare to misunderstand me!
Thanks
Get fibre optic.
how can creat voip routes OR lines............
There is no reason to ever buy Cat 8 cable. Just buy Cat 6a. No hardware has ever been produced that can take advantage of the potential speeds of a cat 8 cable. The fastest ethernet hardware available caps out at 10Gbe. No one ever made anything faster that uses RJ45 connectors. It's all fiber or DAC cabling above 10Gbe. Cat 8 is a waste of money.
the price difference between cat7 and cat8 is like 5 dollars for a 30ft cable. 5 dollars for insane speed and bandwidth increases. sure we cant access those speeds yet. but maybe one day we could. for 5 bucks you might as well get the better cable and never need to upgrade it ever again
The safety and health of act of 1974! What a pile of sh*t. AI commentary is absolute rubbish. Don't f*cking use it! If you don't speak/read/understand English then don't make these videos. Get someone to make the video who does speak/read/understand English, not AI! This video lost all credability when I heard & read this. 0/10
Cat6 has offset pins, cat5 they are in a single line
What is the physical difference? The same gauge wire, same number of wires. How is it faster when it seems identical in construction? The quality of copper?
very ditailed explanation ty
In short, think of the cables as a hose moving data. The higher the caregory, fhe faster the data flow. Hence cat 6 moves faster than cat 5, but you can pmug a cat 5 into a cat 6 port. However, the 5 will be struggling through a cat 6 port.

Cat 7 is not backwards compatible?
Thanks for this explanation, I really need it, since I work in a Data Center
Great video
Great video thanks 😊
Well done, explained with good detail the differences in available cabling.
Nice ❤❤
Good video
love the straight forward and concise information
VoIP is an advanced phone system that has become popular in recent years. For businesses, it is essential to understand how it works so that they can get the most out of it. this video explained VoIP efficiently.
For any ordinary home cat 6 is more than enough
Well understood
Good explanation
Lovely termination, great guide thanks.
thanks
The only difference is the speed on the local area. For a home user CAT-6 is more than enough
This video was useless. No reference to the correct diagram at all when terminating the twisted pairs.
Wonderfully explained 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Helpful 👊👊😊
So I assume multimode cables like OM3 can be used with single mode transceivers? I see no reason why not.
i was getting good speeds on my 67mb fibre contract. when full fast fibre came to my area i upgraded to 500mb, now im getting 15-45mb with the same CAT 8 cables and tp links. i spoke to BT customer service and theyre telling me to replace all my cat 8 cables with cat 5e and 6e cables. does this make any logical sense?
Maybe? I can get full 900+mbps with CAT5e but with CAT8? i'm getting 180 lol no idea
Cat8 isn’t really a thing. Tbh
Interesting. I didn’t realize vocaltec and MJ were related companies. 🤔
very good informative video.
